Reviews
Open early, food is great! Typical diner fare! Lots on the menu, hearty, delicious. Waitress is great!
Good local flavor. The building has some deferred maintenance but it is clean inside which matters way more to me! Friendly staff, good service
Service is great, very friendly staff. Food is pretty good, I love the breakfast all day
I stopped for lunch at noon and the place was fairly empty. This is a small-town diner with a large menu. My server came right over and took my order. I went with the special, Hot Turkey with mashed potatoes and a bowl of split pea with ham soup. She brought my drink and soup right away. The soup was really hot, but I could tell just by looking at it that I was going to like it. It was thick and full of ham chunks. You could totally tell this was a homemade soup, it was one I would get whenever it was on the menu, VERY GOOD. After the soup, she brought me my meal, and everything looked good. The turkey was hand carved, but it looked dry to me. Good thing there was gravy on the meat because it really needed it. The mashed potatoes were good, just lacking in flavor. They really needed salt added. Overall, I would come back, there were enough good things about this place (service, prices and homemade food) to deserve a second chance. I will be back.
Plates piled with real food!! Goodness gracious people you've gotta try this! Breakfast is my favorite!! But they have an extensive menu with choices for everyone. I live the chili dogs too!! My dad gets the sauce and brings it home sometimes for our dinner. Well I'm older now. But I loved that! The restaurant is very open bright with the huge windows to downtown!! It's a staple in my places to go! Great for kids too!
